1.1 Visit Best Health Magazine, published by Reader’s Digest Magazines Canada Limited (hereinafter RD) website located at www.besthealthmag.ca and follow the instructions on how to register. You may also go to www..com/besthealth to find out how to enter. This prize draw period closes on September 22, 2017 at 23:59:59 (EDT). Website tracking determines date and time of entry.

1.2 Only one (1) entry will be accepted for the duration of this prize draw period.

1.3 No purchase is necessary to enter and to win.

2. ELIGIBILITY

2.1 This prize draw is open to Canadian residents who, at the time of participation, have reached the age of majority according to the law of the province or territory in which they reside.

Employees of RD, their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, dealers, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of such employees/officers/directors are not eligible to enter. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

2.2 This prize draw is void outside of Canada.

3. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

3.2 All entry requirements specified on our website must be followed in order to be entered for an opportunity to win the prize offered.

4. PRIZE AND AWARDING

4.1 On September 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. an electronic draw will be performed at our Montreal office, and one (1) winner will be awarded a stay for two (2) adults at Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Florida.

4.2 This prize includes:

a) Seven (7) consecutive nights, all-inclusive package standard room, double or quadruple occupancy.

b) Meals, snacking and drinks included in the traditional Club Med all-inclusive package

c) Activities included in the traditional Club Med all-inclusive package.

This prize does not include:

a) Flights and transfers;

b) Cost of passport, tourist cards, vaccination certificates and visas;

c) Excess baggage charges;

d) Any sales or Goods and Services Taxes and any similar tax, if applicable;

e) Airport improvement fees or any fuel surcharges or other additional costs;

f) Levied by the air carrier in connection with the flights;

g) Travel insurance;

h) Transfers from winner’s home to airport for both ends of round-trip;

i) Personal expenses;

j) Optional excursions.

Conditions:

a) Travel must be completed by September 15, 2018 and excludes the weeks of Christmas, New Year’s, Easter, Spring School breaks, and certain weeks of July and August;

b) Reservations will be accepted winner’s space availability grid, can only be confirmed 90 days prior to departure and are not combinable with any other promotion;

c) The conditions of stay are as described in the Canadian Club Med brochure valid at time of travel;

d) This prize is non transferable, cannot be extended or redeemed for cash. In case of cancellation, for any given reason, the trip will be forfeited;

e) It is the winner’s responsibility and travelling companion’s to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas if applicable and to comply with any customs immigration requirements.

4.3 The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and must be accepted as awarded. Prize cannot be used towards the accumulation of miles/points of any Loyalty Airline programs.

RD reserves the right (with the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux) to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value if the prize as described cannot be awarded for any reason. The prize is guaranteed to be awarded.

By entering the prize draw, entrants agree to abide by the prize draw rules, and the decisions of RD are final on all matters regarding this prize draw. In order to win a prize, participants must register at the website mentioned in 1.1 above.

The qualifying winner will be notified by mail, shortly after the prize draw close date. The winner must sign a claim form and will be asked to correctly answer a skill-testing question in order to claim the prize. RD reserves the right to give away unclaimed prize to the next eligible winner.

5. CONDITIONS

5.1 RD is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified. Only fully completed entry forms are eligible. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt. All entries become the sole property of RD and will not be acknowledged or returned.

In the event an insufficient number of entries are received, RD reserves the right to cancel the prize draw (with the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux) and shall be under no obligation to award the prize. Entries not satisfying these Official Rules will be automatically disqualified. All entrants must have a valid email address.

In case of dispute as to identity of entrant, entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. ‘Authorized Account Holder’ is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internal access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.

) responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.

5.2 Participation in the prize draw and acceptance of prize constitute the winner’s permission for RD to use his/her name, photograph, biographical information, and film (if applicable) and/or any statements made by the winner regarding the prize draw without notice or additional compensation.

By participating, entrants and winner agree to release and hold harmless RD, and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, employees, officers and directors, from any and all liability, for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in prize draw, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize draw-related activity and for any claims publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trademark infringement or any other intellectual property-related cause of action. RD is not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone, or other communication malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, website, Internet, or ISP availability, unauthorized human intervention, traffic congestion, incomplete or inaccurate capture of entry information (regardless of cause) or failed, incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit one’s ability to enter the prize draw, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participating in this prize draw or downloading or uploading any materials in this prize draw. RD reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend this prize draw (with the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux) should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the prize draw. In such case, RD will select the winner from all eligible entries received. Beach volleyball players descend on Club Med for National Volleyball League Players Championship

Some of the best beach volleyball players in the country will compete in The National Volleyball League Players Championship this weekend in Port St. Lucie.

The two-day tournament features 16 teams — eight men’s teams and eight women’s teams — vying for the top prize in the $100,000 event at Club Med Sandpiper Bay.

The NVL, in its fourth season, and the Club Med Academies recently partnered to start a sand volleyball academy at the resort which already had tennis, golf and triathlon academies.

“We have hundreds of players,” NVL co-founder and CEO Albert Hannemann said. “We are about growing the game and are involved in that at the grass roots level. We have a huge junior tour we’ve started with 5,000 players. So starting the academy was a big deal.”

The Players Championship is the highlight of the season for the NVL.

“All the teams in this tournament had to qualify, so it’s the top eight teams on each side, the top 32 players,” Hannemann said.

This is the sixth event in the championship tour.

On the men’s side, Josh Binstock, a member of the 2012 Canadian Olympic team, and Eric Zaun won two events this season as did the team of Mike Placek and Austin Rester. The women’s tour has been dominated by the top-ranked team of Priscilla Piantadosi-Lima and Karolina Sowala, winners of four championship events this year.

Although several players, including Sowala reside in Florida, none are from the Treasure Coast.

The season finale has been in Las Vegas the past three years, but Club Med will be its permanent home.

The event, which includes a free volleyball clinic Saturday plus the tournament, is open to the public. The professional players will be on hand to work with participants in the clinic.

“When you get here, you have to feel the energy,” said Scott Del Mastro, Club Med Academies Director of Operations. “It’s a whole ’nother world … There is so much energy at these tournaments. It fits into what Club Med is about.”

Club Med initially became involved with the NVL through a number of volleyball/fan fest events at various Club Meds locations.

Del Mastro said pairing the NVL with the academy, and bringing the Players Championship to Sandpiper Bay, was a natural outgrowth. The 2014 NVL & ROX Beach Series Junior Global Challenge held at the facility in August launched the academy.

While the NVL has more than a dozen sponsors, Hannemann said Mikasa and Australian Gold are the main sponsors for the Players Championship.

The main draw competition will take place Friday. The format is double elimination beginning at 11 a.m. with play continuing until 5 p.m. Semifinals and the championship match will be Saturday.

Extras: Access to the volleyball courts and participation in the clinic and tournament is free to the public.

However, usage of anything inside the resort including food and beverages, access to pools and any other Club Med activities require purchase of a day pass unless you are staying at the resort.

The Voice of the NVL, Kelley James, also will be performing inside the resort at 9 p.m. Saturday. Passes are required to view his performance. Passes can be purchased on site at the reception desk.

Club Med Sandpiper Bay is home to the NVL Club Med Academy for sand volleyball which has been in the works since last November and had its coming out party in August when it hosted the 2014 NVL & ROX Beach Series Junior Global Challenge.

Under the Club Med Academies umbrella, eight sand volleyball courts have been added to the sports facilities at the Sandpiper Bay property. The sand volleyball academy is partnered with the NVL. The academy director is NVL co-founder and CEO Albert Hannemann.

A variety of programs are offered by the academy, according to the Club Med Academies Director of Operations Scott Del Mastro, including full-time, school-year boarding which runs August to May, holiday camps, summer camps and weekly intensive camps.

Programs are available from juniors ages 8 and older to adults and professionals. Cost runs from $200 per day, to $1,200 per week for a non-boarding student, to $50-60,000 per year for a full-time boarding student.

The participant will give its gender, first name, last name, email address and answers to simple questions on this dedicated website.The contest will be presented on Rossignol’s and Club Med Canada’s websites, will be sent to Rossignol Canada’s and Club Med Canada’s email databases and on the pages of Club Med Canada and Rossignol Canada.

No compensation will be given should the trip or any relating matters with the trip be cancelled for any reason beyond the control of all or any organizers (natural disasters, weather, riots, political situations that may endanger the lives of all travelling parties, strikes or other). Also, any contractual obligation between organizers and suppliers does not imply any type of reimbursement to the winner and/or travelling partners.19. The contest organizers shall assume no responsibility for any claims, losses, damages, cost or expenses arising personal injury, accidents or death, loss, damage or delay of baggage or other property, or delay, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointment, distress or frustration, whether physical or mental.20. All conditions and restrictions of all participating suppliers are applicable.

21. Travel is valid between March 28th 2020 and May 3rd 2020 (or depending on the seasonal closing of the ski resort), or March 27th, 2021 and May 2nd, 2021 (or depending on the seasonal closing of the ski resort).
